DCAR stands for Diagnostic Clinical Assessment and Roadmap. It is a 21-question math assessment that finds exactly which skills your child is missing, identifies where the gap started, and maps every skill above it that has been blocked as a result. You receive two complete reports and a 52-week plan.

About 30 to 40 minutes total. You answer the parent interview first (about 12 to 15 minutes). Then your child answers 21 math questions (about 15 to 20 minutes). There is no timer. Your child can go at their own pace.

No. The assessment never shows correct or incorrect to your child while they are taking it. Your child simply answers each question and moves on. Results appear only in your report, not on their screen. This is intentional.

Kmath serves students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The DCAR is built to find gaps at any level, including earlier gaps that are affecting your child's current work.

That is completely normal. You can reassure your child that no right or wrong answers are shown during the test. There is no grade. No one is judging them. They simply answer questions at their own pace. Many children find it much easier than they expected once they get started.

Yes. You can be in the room. The only thing we ask is that you do not help with the answers. The DCAR needs your child's own responses to find the real gap. If a parent answers for them, the report will not be accurate.

The assessment saves your child's progress. They can stop and return later. The link is valid for 7 days from when it was sent to your email.

Yes. Each child is a separate assessment with a separate $69 fee. Each child receives their own reports and their own 52-week plan. The plans are fully independent of each other.

The 21 questions are designed to map your child's math knowledge across all key skill areas. They adapt based on your child's responses, so each child's path through the assessment is slightly different. Twenty-one questions is enough to identify the gap with strong confidence. Adding more questions would not change the outcome.

No. The full DCAR is $69, one time. There is no free assessment version available.

Both reports contain the same findings. The Clinical Report uses professional language and is designed to share with your child's teacher, school counselor, or IEP team. The Parent Report uses plain language so any adult in your home can read and understand it. You receive both with every DCAR.

Yes. The Clinical Report is written specifically for teachers and school professionals. You can download it and bring it to any school meeting. You can also email it or share it digitally. The report is yours to use however you need.

Yes. Every four weeks, your child takes a full reassessment as part of the subscription. After each one, both reports update to show what has closed, what is still open, and what comes next. Your portal keeps the complete history so you can see exactly how far your child has come.

Yes. Both reports are delivered in your family's chosen language. Kmath is available in English, Spanish (Latin America), Haitian Creole, French (West African Francophone), and Brazilian Portuguese. The reports are written naturally in each language, not translated from English.

The 52-week plan is a week-by-week roadmap built from your child's DCAR results. It shows which skills will be worked on each week, in what order, and why. The plan updates automatically after each reassessment to reflect your child's actual current progress.

The DCAR is $69, one time. That covers the full 21-question assessment, both complete reports, and your 52-week plan. You receive everything whether you subscribe afterward or not.

No. The DCAR stands on its own. You receive your reports and plan no matter what. If you want to start weekly lessons and the ongoing program, that is a separate decision you make after seeing the results.

The registration fee is $30 if you enroll within 14 days of completing your DCAR. After 14 days it rises to $49. Registration activates your family portal, your first weekly lesson, and your subscription.

The subscription starts at $299.99 per month. Your exact monthly amount is determined after your onboarding interview, based on your family's needs and what you choose. It goes up from $299.99 depending on what your family selects. It never goes below that starting amount.

Yes. Annual plans start at $3,599.88. Families who choose the annual option have their rate locked for 12 months.

Every subscription includes: your child's weekly lesson packets, a parent guide in your language, two to three check-ins per week, a full reassessment every four weeks at no extra charge, roadmap updates after each reassessment, and both reports updated with each reassessment. Summer is included. There is no break in the program.

Yes. You can cancel from your portal at any time. Kmath is designed as a 12-month program. If you cancel early, your access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Yes. You can pause from your portal. A pause lasts up to 30 days. During a pause, billing stops and your roadmap is saved. After 30 days, the subscription resumes automatically. You can pause up to twice per year.

Only if you were away for more than 30 days. If you return within 30 days, your data is still current and you pick up where you left off at no extra cost. If you were away for more than 30 days, a new $69 DCAR is required. During that time your child missed check-ins and at least one monthly reassessment, so the data is no longer accurate enough to build a reliable plan. The new DCAR brings everything current before lessons resume. If you want to avoid this, use the pause feature instead of canceling. It holds everything in place for up to 30 days at no charge.

Your portal includes a financial relief option. You can activate it yourself with no form and no phone call. It gives you a reduced-access billing cycle while keeping your child's data and roadmap completely intact. You can use this up to twice per year.

No. The four-week reassessment is included in your subscription at no extra charge. It replaces the regular check-in for that week. No new payment, no new registration.

Each week you receive a lesson packet by email. You print the pages at home. Your child works on paper. There is no app. There is no screen time for the learning itself. The portal is for tracking progress, not for lessons.

Each Friday and Saturday, your child receives a preview of what their teacher will cover the following week. That means they walk into class on Monday already knowing the material. They raise their hand. They get it right. That moment changes how they see themselves and how their teacher sees them. It happens every single week.

Each lesson comes with a parent guide in your language. It tells you what your child is working on that week, what to say and what not to say, and what questions to bring up at the dinner table. You do not need a math degree. We give you the words.

Yes. Summer is included in every subscription. There is no summer break in the program. Summer intensity is determined by your child's gap profile and your interview responses. Families who travel or have other summer plans may have adjusted intensity, but summer is never skipped entirely.

Yes. Kmath lessons are paper-based. Your child works on printed pages at home. You print the weekly packet yourself. This is intentional. Paper-based work removes screen distractions and keeps learning focused. If you do not have a printer at home, most libraries and office supply stores offer printing for a small fee.

Yes. Check-ins are done through the portal, which works on any phone, tablet, or computer. Your child can complete check-ins from anywhere with an internet connection — at home, while traveling, or anywhere else.

Travel is built into the plan. You tell us your summer plans during the onboarding interview and we adjust summer intensity accordingly. If you are traveling for several weeks, the program shifts to lighter sessions that fit your schedule. Print the lesson pages before you leave and your child can do check-ins on any device from wherever you are.

Yes. Your family's language settings can be configured so that parent content (reports, parent guide) and student content (lessons, worksheets) are in different languages, if that works better for your household.

The five launched languages cover the largest multilingual family communities Kmath serves. Additional languages are planned. If your language is not yet on the list, you can still enroll and receive content in English or one of the other available languages.

Yes. You can update your email address from your account settings inside the portal.

One account per family. Any adult with the login details can access the portal. If two parents in separate households need access, please contact support and we will recommend the best setup for your situation.

Billing information can be updated from the billing section of your portal. No phone call required.

Kmath is designed for self-service. Most questions are answered in this Support Center. Your portal handles billing changes, pauses, and account updates without any phone call or email. Your portal shows the gaps your child had at the start and how many have closed since then. After each reassessment (every four weeks), you see an updated count. Most families see clear movement within the first 90 days.

It means the system is working. A plan that never changes would mean no progress. When the plan updates, it reflects what your child has closed (those skills are behind them) and what the next focus should be. Changes are a good sign.

It depends on the size and depth of the gap. A gap from one grade level back can close in weeks. A gap that built up over several years takes longer. Kmath is built around 12 months because real, lasting progress takes time. Most families see meaningful movement in the first 90 days, with bigger changes happening between months 4 and 12.

No. Every lesson comes with a parent guide written in plain language. You do not need to know the math yourself. The guide tells you what to say, what to ask, and how to support your child. Your job is to show up. We give you the words.

Reading the parent guide each week takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Being present when your child works takes whatever time fits your family. Kmath is built to work around your schedule, not add stress to it.

Your child can work independently. The lessons are designed for independent work. The parent guide is there for when you can engage, not as a requirement for every session.

Resistance is common at first, especially for children who have had negative experiences with math. The parent guide addresses this directly. One thing that helps consistently: the Friday preview lesson means your child walks into class on Monday knowing the answer. The experience of getting it right in front of their class tends to change their attitude faster than anything else.

Yes. Kmath supports students with IEPs for ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Dyslexia, Processing Delay, and General Learning Disability. The program adapts lesson pacing, structure, and delivery based on your child's IEP type. You share IEP information during the onboarding interview.

All content is sourced from official public materials: state requirements, federal IDEA requirements, and published UDL standards. IEP pricing ranges from $950 to $1,499 per month depending on your child's IEP type, severity, and the level of support configured. Not all IEPs are the same. A student with ADHD and a student with Dyslexia receive different lesson structures, different audio delivery, and different reports. The new DCAR makes the roadmap accurate again before lessons resume.

Because your child has changed while you were away. A child absent for 30 or more days has missed check-ins, missed at least one monthly reassessment, and may have lost ground on skills that were closing. The old data is stale. A new DCAR gets an accurate picture of where your child is now so the plan that follows is genuinely correct. Building a plan on outdated data would not help your child.

Pause if you can. A pause holds everything in place for up to 30 days at no charge and with no data loss. When you return, your child picks up exactly where they left off. You can pause up to twice per year from your portal — no phone call, no form required. Canceling and returning after 30 days means starting with a new DCAR. A pause avoids that entirely.

An alternate explanation is a different way of teaching the same concept. If your child does not understand the lesson the first way it is presented, they can request a different approach. Kmath delivers a second explanation of the same skill using different language, a different example, or a different method. The goal is to find the approach that clicks for that child.
